@texasfishin I would imagine brain would be best.
December 6th, 2010 at 3:14 am
@phgHunter okay thanks, should i do brain shots, heart shots, or lung shots with a big bore?
December 6th, 2010 at 3:57 am
@texasfishin The 909 is a good choice. Just make sure you are comfortable with the gun before you hunt with it and keep it within 50 yards and all should go well.

Hey Phghunter, i was wondering if you could give me a good recomendation on a big bore rifle that would be used exclusively for hogs. i’m lookin into the Sam Yang 909 as of now, but would like the opinion of someone who is experienced. I regularly bow hunt hogs and can get within 15 yards of one for a shot, so long range wouldnt be that important. Could you give me a good recomendation? Thanks a bunch!

@flyingpigz77
Exactly. For $600, you could invest in a nice Mini 14 or a basic AR-15, and have a weapon that’s way more powerful, way more accurate, and way more humane.

@qeni678
Yeah, but you’ll feel like hell if you hit it in the wrong spot.
With a pellet gun, you will in all likelihood end up with a crying, yelping inhumane mess (as I’ve said before). Better just to be safe, and take more than enough gun, with .223 as a minimum for anything bigger than a ‘coon.
December 6th, 2010 at 6:05 am
@jazzmusicplayer It depends which ones you want. Watch the video telling more about the guns. And yes you can make your own ammo.
December 6th, 2010 at 6:48 am
where can i buy these and can i make my own ammo or slugs to fire?
December 6th, 2010 at 7:46 am
no, a 14 ft lbs gun is not enough for coyotes, let alone boar
December 6th, 2010 at 8:09 am
coudent u kill a coyoty or a boar with likw a gamo big cat if u got it in the rie spot
December 6th, 2010 at 8:53 am
Prolly.
December 6th, 2010 at 9:07 am
Not really, Pigs are very destructive to virtually any habitat they infest.
And Coyotes kill Sheep and Goats.
December 6th, 2010 at 9:40 am
but really for $600 i would buy a rifle for that or a bow
December 6th, 2010 at 10:21 am
dats fucked up!!!
December 6th, 2010 at 10:43 am
wait… these things can kill a person? WTF?
December 6th, 2010 at 11:20 am
You can get a Quackenbush big bore for $600. Then you would need a scope and something to fill the gun with.
