1. When buying camo keep in mind what surroundings your going to be hunting in. You don’t want to buy white camo if your not hunting in the snow. Also keep in mind what time of year it is. If fall is near and leaves are falling off trees and nothing is green then you want more of a fall camo, more in the brownish color than green.

2. What are you hunting for? If your elk hunting you don’t want to be using a .22-.250 you’ll want more of a 7mm ultra mag or something with big time knock down power and long range for big game.

3. For using scents or calls you’ll need to know what time of season it is. If it’s late in deer season you won’t really need to be focusing on rut scents or rattlers.
