@TBROutdoors Great shot on that buck. Magnus or Bear head on that arrow? Two comments to make here.
1) My opinion, to the person wanting to get into archery, get a longbow or recurve to start. About a 45 to 55#. Longbows are alot more forgiving to a new archer, not to mention just plain fun to shoot.
2) Get a safety harness on!!! I know too many that have gotten hurt bad with out one. I rode a stand to the ground once, after that I have a belt on even if I am practicing.

@peacemaker50cal I would suggest going to a bow shop and test firing a few bows…Compound is generally the best way to start. In terms of brand and model, find something that fits your draw length, weight and pocket book….this is the easiest way for you to find something your comfortable with and not break the bank. Practice makes perfect and if you like gun hunting, you will love bow hunting! TBR Outdoors

@peacemaker50cal 8-12 yards is about right guys….the shooter states 5 yards, but that might have been at the deers closest point…the heat of the moment. We just love to see them get that close!

@Cajunrich No score on the deer….just one happy hunter! Nice eye on the safety harness….the camera man had one on, but the hunter failed to get his from the truck. You are correct, always protect yourself with a sound safety harness system. If you leave it in the truck, go back and get it! Happy Hunting!

@MrWatersnake12 175 Grain – Zwickey Delta Two-Blades….Excellent flight and Unbelievable Cutting Diameter. I would recommend to anyone who is looking…and they don’t pay me to say that as I don’t have a sponsorship with them. They are just that good!

NICE! Sweet rack on one side! Great deer-score? Great video from your buddy on camera too! Not to call you out or anything…but are you wearing a safety harness? You might have one on that wasn’t on camera. I work in hospital and im a freak now on safety. Never was until a friend stepped on a limb and it broke. He is a quad now. Just throwing out that “it will never happen to me” quote is right around the corner for any of us if not safe. Didn’t mean to spoil your kill it was awesome!

@jbm4551 Your right. He might be five yards from the tree, give or take, but there is still the hieght of the tree.ts probabley around 10 yards, your right. Its still a prety damn close shot! lol.

@peacemaker50cal he says 5 but its definitely not. no trashing at all but its like 10
