The day after Christmas, Nick and Jerrod tried one of our favorite spots that was yet to produce a successful predator hunt. Within minutes, they called in this nice mature female coyote to 20 yards on the icy slopes of Montgomery County, taken with the Remington 700

Shot with Remington model 700 .22-250 with Bell and Carlson snow camo stock and Jewel trigger. Nikon Monarch 6.5-20×44 scope and 50gr Hornady Vmax molycoated bullets.

On calf-slaughter-hill, Jerrod tries wiping out some of the calf killers himself. Rabbit squeals and coyote howls this decent sized male coyote into about 200 yards and picks him off with the Remington .22-250. The cross wind must’ve pulled the 53 gr hornady to the left a little because he swipes the dog’s side before putting him down with the second shot.
