Set up a Rifle Range Wherever You Want with a Portable Shooting Bench

The portable shooting bench is just about the most useful accessory for the avid shooter there is! Using a shooting bench at an outdoor range is nice, but there are so many other times that a decent shooting bench is needed.

It is good to be able to have one that you can just put in the bed of your truck for when you can really use it. Together with a good rifle rest or set of sand bags for your rifle, a portable shooting bench is useful for all sorts of things, like:

Sighting in a scope for different ammo at a specific distance.
Bring it on a drive to a vacant part of the farm and practice shooting.
Put it on your back porch to shoot varmints.
Teach kids to shoot before they are able to hold a rifle standing up.
Bring it to your favorite hunting spot so you can relax and hunt in comfort.

When you get your portable shooting bench ready to go, there are a few other things you want to make sure you bring to enjoy your time shooting. For example:

Ammo and extra magazines.
Small toolkit with screwdrivers, adjustable wrench, and both metric and standard Allen wrenches.

Here is a video of us coyote hunting. This coyote was killed at 676 yards with one shot. The gun was built by www.precisionriflesales.com in a 7mm STW caliber using 168 grain Berger bullets. We have had great success this year with our long range hunting. We killed 3 elk and a deer at over 850yds. Those videos will be hitting the tube shortly. Rifles we use are 7mm STW, 300 Weatherby, 300 Ultra Mag and 338 Win. Mag.

Brian makes up for his 40 yard miss in this same field two weeks earlier. We have killed three dogs in this 10 acre field this year and have called in a total of five…hot spot! My video “Coyote Hunting in Upstate NY: A Nice Blond One” was also filmed in this field
