Sorry for the poor video quality on the first coyote. Coyote #1 250+ yds neck shot at dusk and Coyote #2 100 yds in the morning. Called in with a FoxPro Spitfire.

The video of the 2 coyotes that came in after I shot my gobbler on 3-4-2010. Unfortunately both look like they have mange and I missed the dark one @ 60 yards running.

Video of my 2010 PA spring turkey hunt. Day 3. Connected with a long beard and then was surprised by 2 coyotes that came in right after I shot him. Squeaked and called light to get 1 (with mange) to 60 yards, but missed the running shot.

This hunt has taken us back to our original location due to the short notice of the hunt. The wind was not working in our favor either. Our first blind location was taken over by a racoon so we had to move off to a new spot. We saw quite a few turkeys while on this hunt as well. No dogs again, but still an exciting hunt.

This group used a lot of .22 shells (about 500 per day each). Occasionally you’ll hear a .223 or .22-250 reach out and poke a prairie dog. We managed to find some unwary groups of dogs that allowed multiple shots at less than 100 yards. You’ll see these guys weren’t shy about using ammo to shoot .22′s at 100-200 yards.

Today I talk about 3 major types of calls that are used in Predator hunting. First is the Closed Reed Call witch is very easy to master. Second is the Open reed call it’ll take some practice but you’ll get it. Thrid is the Diaphragm it could kill you if used wrong. but it makes the best howls. Next week I’ll be talking about coyote vocalizations.

My second visit out to one of my coyote locations. It was an absolutely beautiful day out a lot of gunfire off in the direction of where I was hoping the coyotes were going to come kept them away. Still a fun trip though.

Our latest coyote hunt in Maine. We scouted a new location and found a lot of tracks and scat. We have 2 more new locations to check out, but this one is going to be a hot spot. Unfortunately we didn’t land any this time though.
