This scope mount is made of aluminum extrusion anodized bright for lifetime use
The screws are heat treated socket cap screws and they have a special oversize head for more holding power in the aluminum
These see-thru mounts allow you to use the iron sights as well as the scope so you won’t miss that close running shot. Also great in winter when the only thing you see in your scope are snow flakes

Shooting an AR15 using the scope cam; targets setup at approximately 410 yards. The camcorder is securely mounted to the stock of the rifle, just behind the charging handle. Shooting with this setup is quite a challenge, as I have to use the camcorder viewfinder for aiming. The viewfinder screen is roughly the size of 4 small postage stamps, and provides nowhere near the quality resolution that you experience with a decent scope. I’m so close to the viewfinder, I’m not even wearing my glasses. Rifle for the session is a Bushmaster Varminter in .223, topped off with a Leupold Mark III scope. The Remington 55 grain accutip is the load of choice.
I mounted my Sony Handycam to the A2 stock of an AR-15 Bushmaster Varminter, providing you with a POV or first-person experience. Shooting steel at 175 yards with Georgia Arms 55gr FMJ. Good view of the right side of the rifle, scope, bipod, ejecting brass, etc. I was laying prone on my “shooting platform”. You might be able to see the target downrange near the middle of the screen, but can definitely hear the hits. The perspective for this short video was to show more of the rifle.
Mounted my Sony camcorder on an A2 stock of the AR15 Bushmaster Varminter. View is through a Leupold Mark III scope, 4.5 x 14, 50mm objective lens. Video shows some random views at 14X, about 50 yards out, and firing one shot into a water jug. Brief slow-motion segment at the end of the exploding jug. Ammo used was .223 Hornady VMAX 55 grain. Hopefully, this setup will work for coyote hunting and some long-range target shooting….alot of possibilities!
After a freezing morning of coyote hunting with no luck, we shoot our buddy Mike’s new Rock River Arms AR15 Coyote Rifle in .223. For more info on the rifle, go to www.rockriverarms.com, or visit our forum to read more about Mike’s gun or to show off your own. bellbucksnbeards.proboards.com
Showing one of the setups that I’ll be using for coyotes, including first-person SCOPE CAM shooting at steel plates in the vicinity of 180 yards. No hunting in the video, sorry. Camcorder is mounted to the A2 stock of my AR15 Bushmaster Varminter, viewing through a Leupold Mark III scope, set to full 14x for the shooting segment.
