Tactical Hog Control – Night vision wild hog and boar hunts

Posted on 17 December 2010 by trickac

THC LLC is the first company in Texas, dedicated to helping farmers and ranchers manage the feral hog population on their property. We accomplish this by using the latest Night Vision goggles, night vision scopes and thermal weapon sights, along with years of experience using proven tactics.

  6. TacticalHogControl Says:

@knockout1018…We’re based in the Madisonville area, about 1/2 way between Houston and Dallas. All of our hunts are low-fence and open range….no canned hunts here. We’re currently hunting on about 60,000 acres in Madison and surrounding counties.

  7. knockout1018 Says:

  10. shamrockcattleco Says:

@TacticalHogControl He sounds like a guy that needs to go a few days with out food, If farmers and ranchers cant produce it he cant eat it !!! America cheapest most avalable food recource in the world and they still complain.

  11. TacticalHogControl Says:

@Wade4QB ….and I’m sure you’re basing that opinion on years of experience pertaining to feral hogs and the damage that this invasive species causes…..not just some un-informed, tree-hugger-inspired propaganda!

But hey…this is a free country and you’re welcome to your opinion. I personally don’t agree with it, but, after all, I’m stupid, right? I prefer to pay more attention to the opinions of the farmers and ranchers who appreciate the impact we’re having on the hog population.

  12. TacticalHogControl Says:

@eezerik ….We cover about 25 miles of ranch roads every night. We use the goggles to see while driving and during walking stalks. When we get close enough to the hogs, the goggles are flipped-up and that’s where the night scopes and thermal weapon sights take over.

  13. Wade4QB Says:

    You’re stupid. Just my opinion.

  14. vef1218 Says:

@RamsesHarrysson automatic weapons? its a faster way to whoop ass. why the hell not? ha

  15. eezerik Says:

good action. So you need goggles and also nightvision riflescope?

  16. SkeetShootinManiac Says:

You boys are the BOMB keep on wacking and stacking the pork. RH you are a dumb Son Of A Buck

  17. vlodpg Says:

This is not hunting, it is pest control!

    Happy shooting!

Where do I sign up? My 6.8 & I are awaiting!

  18. jimbo7143 Says:

@RamsesHarrysson….try googling “feral hog problem” or “feral hog damage” and educate yourself on the problem before you start hugging trees. Here in Tennessee you can’t get your beans in the ground good before they have been rooted up. Arkansas is having the same problem in their rice fields. This is the same type of situation as the killer bees, nutria, the snakehead fish, etc. These type of hogs are domestics gone wild in most cases, not javelina or razorback which are native.

  19. RamsesHarrysson Says:

@RamsesHarrysson I agree.. This is getting out of hand. Peace, respect and topic closed!

    Have a nice day!

  20. TacticalHogControl Says:

@RamsesHarrysson OK…This is getting out of hand. I respect your opinion. Whether you respect mine isn’t something I can control….but you obviously dont understand the scale of the problem. The United States is a BIG place. Feral hogs are present in approx. 40 of the 50 states. Texas, alone, is over 15 times the size of Estonia, so fencing is cost-prohibitive (or we would have one at the border, to keep out more than hogs.)

  21. huntthat Says:

@RamsesHarrysson Hogs are not native species. Not only do they kill farmers profits but also eat/root up veg for the native species. Like the others said, this is a business for control.

  22. RamsesHarrysson Says:

@WINSTON4747 if you have something against old vintage rifles, then it is your own personal tragedy or stupidity! That 4th generation rifle i was talking about is a rare Winchester early 1800′s model from England and it was once owned by my great grandfather, and is now on a relict-status in our manor-house in Estonia. And yes its already worth probably more than You + your hopples education (if there is any)
Go google yourself and have little-more respect on things like this!

  23. RamsesHarrysson Says:

Okay… this is getting almost funny! “Farmers lost their profits…” “MILLIONS of dollars of damage every year” “financial impact”
We have here few business-mans and few of their friends (with rifles obviously!)
In Estonia yes we have wild hog problems , but here i believe people respect more the nature than in U.S. When farmers have problems whit wildhogs then firstly they invest in fences and stuff like this – not in a ways to kill and destroy everything thats bothering.

  24. RamsesHarrysson Says:

I find it disgusting that people see everything in “how much money” is this or that is worth. Maybe if you kill all wild nature around you (because thats useless & bothering thing) maybe then you could finally make some real BIIGG Profits? Or another financial advice – sell your YouTube Account in eBay and you get profit and hopefully there will be little less foolish comments / videos in future!!!

  25. RamsesHarrysson Says:

WINSTON4747 & RADIOACTIVEBUNY – before you calling someone “dumbass” & “bitch” (maybe this is your home language, i don’t know) Yes i’ve shot wild hogs few times (.338 Lapua Magnum – from Finland) and they did’nt ask for another round. It was one shot – one kill. If someone saying about 4-5rounds per 1 hog… then they are using wrong round or is it time to retirement! Simple!

  35. TheSSayajin Says:

Legal!

  37. gart1234 Says:

@Ghostmaker1970 right, its the semi-auto vs bolt action accuracy. and as usual the bolt action is more accurate, but its limited by the range since it is a .22 (it can only be effective to so far)

  38. Ghostmaker1970 Says:

@gart1234 Not as accurate as the standard bolt action cz .22 rimfire though?

  39. dick2478 Says:

true, got mine zeroed at 50 yards, anything beyond that is great ”lobbing” the bullits at the targets,a very fun rifle…but very capable hunting tool too within the ranges.
    nice balanced rifle too.

  40. gart1234 Says:

@Ghostmaker1970 im obviously not Rich, but i do own the semi auto, and mine is very very accurate. sub 1-inch groupings at 50 yards.

  41. gart1234 Says:
