i’ve heard of a new bullet that when you shoot some how it tells you how many clicks to go up on the scopewith only 1 shot
January 2nd, 2011 at 8:21 am
@kirihimete right , thats what they were tellin me .. thank you.
January 2nd, 2011 at 8:27 am
@yabodmon it’s really not that hard. the key is making sure the rifle is boresighted before sighting in. There’s no point sighting in @ 25 and 100 yards if your bore/scope is out significantly.

@cadw600 what do u want these guys to do? have a circus in the background while they teach you how to sight in your rifle? they know what they’re talking about, and they delivered the info according to the title.

@just1nott well you can start by being not boring. i like the video n all, it was just a boring video thats all.
have a nice day
January 2nd, 2011 at 11:15 am
@cadw600 any constructive comments to make the video not “boring”?
January 2nd, 2011 at 12:06 pm
wow that was boring

@dirtyminded604: 4 clicks at 100 yards would equal 1″ of movement. 4 clicks at 50 yards would equal .5″ of movement.

If i have a rifle that is zeroed at 100 yards (1 moa) and i have 1/4 min clicks. that would be 4 clicks correct? now if i wanted in the field to range to 50 yards, half of 100 yards would that be 2 1/4 min clicks back? how exactly does that work? thanks

i hate doin this .. i tried it with my pellet guns and holy shyt. i am buying a rem 700 30-06 and i asked bass pro if the can sight the scope they said yes. i hope that i dont have to go to the gun range and do this.. i got no patience for it.

@808G35s your bullet will hit on a certain point of the paper if you have it bore-sighted. say for e.g. its 3 inch’s low and 2 inch’s to the left ( @100 yards ( 1/4 moa ) if you aim dead center, you then will need to bring the crosshair down 3 inch’s ( 12 clicks ) and left 2 inch’s ( 8 clicks ) that way you are moving the crosshair to the point of impact. that is how i sight in my rifle’s and it works so you can try that out if you want. that way seems more logical.
January 2nd, 2011 at 2:21 pm
@TheTannerwill your an idiot, you arnt moving the bullet, because you cant you are moving the crosshair hense the scope adjustments. when i sight in my rifles i move the crosshair to the point of impact and it works.
January 2nd, 2011 at 2:54 pm
@nylouie516 look dude ive shot more rifles than you can shake a stick at in a month of sundays. everytime you sight in a rifle just remember this u r moving the bullett not the scope so if u shoot low raise it up. that simple. to prove this if u have a good gun rest you can look at a target and lower the verticle turrett and it will actually it will go up. and i know it doesnt make sense but if u try this u will see what i mean
January 2nd, 2011 at 3:10 pm
No problem
January 2nd, 2011 at 4:06 pm
thank you i found this very helpful
January 2nd, 2011 at 4:25 pm
@nylouie516 on elevation and wind age on scopes the directions are opposite to what they say. so if you look through a scope while moving the elevation upwards you will see the cross hairs go down. confusing i know. but this way it seems your moving the point of impact to the cross hairs not the cross hairs to the point of impact.
January 2nd, 2011 at 4:26 pm
@808G35s- Correct
January 2nd, 2011 at 5:21 pm
@808G35s- Correct
January 2nd, 2011 at 5:27 pm
So let me get this straight. If i turn my elevation dial in the up arrow direction, it won’t move the crossairs up but instead move the point of impact up? And if I turn my windage dial in the left arrow direction, it won’t move the crossairs left but instead move the point of impact left? If so then if my point of impact is in the lower left for example, will I have to turn my elevation and windage dials up and right?

@ltstrat8302 Bushnell Elite scopes are good. regular Bushnell scopes can be sighted in but the optics are not quite as good.
January 2nd, 2011 at 6:16 pm
Bushells are crap they dont sight in.
January 2nd, 2011 at 6:30 pm
@600 yd 3″ is roughly 1/2 MOA (1MOA is very close to 1″@100yd).
So, to correct for 3″@600 you would need 2 clicks with 1/4MOA click scope.
January 2nd, 2011 at 7:28 pm
nooooo. 1 click=1/4in @ 100. So multiply that effect over 600 yards. Try 1 click. Are you compensating for wind?
