Nice video! What brand(s) of calls do you use most? I have several assorted calls, but as yet have not had the time to try them out. I called up a gray fox from my front porch one night, but that’s it.

@Outdoorsforum Your .308 would make a pretty good coyote gun.. I have a lot of different rifles and I use an AR-10 308 more than anything.. I like it because it’s a lot better for long shots, especially in wind. I actually use a Sierra 150g full metal jacket boattail, and it does less damage than most varmint calibers. It absolutely destroys the insides, but the pelt stays in good shape. The Vanguard MOAs are an awesome shooter for the money.. Good luck!

@lbensonjbi Thanks for the info! I’m gonna give it a go this weekend. I’ll let you know if we have any luck. Maybe after I get a little better at it, I’ll try to film a hunt. Would love to share it with you! Thanks again!

We get impatient sometimes, but we try to call for about 20 minutes. Sometimes less. It also depends on the type of country and what time of day it is. If you believe they are on the hunt you may want to call for 30 minutes in case something wanders into your sound. If you believe they are bedded down then you can call for less. If you are in tight cover chances are they aren’t going to hear you very far out.

Hey guys, great video! You guys are good. I’m just getting into yote hunting up here in North Idaho. Was wondering if you could tell me about how long you keep each series of calls. Also, how long do you stay on each stand before moving on. Any help you could give me would be much appreciated. Thanks!

My Weatherby Vanguard Sub MOA shold be arriving some time soon. It’s in .308 but it might be doing some coyote hunting with me. I think I am going to save up and get a .223 though.
