@PseudoScienceb20 not really a deer cartridge in australia, we use that and .223 for fox’s dingo’s and stuff like that. we use .308′s .30-06′s and those calibers for deer.

i thort the 223 wssm was bad with throat erosion more so than 22/250. i know some have a crome barrle witch helps but not quite as accurat with a crome barrle. also you can only get winchester brass for it. intresting looking round and would love to have a go on one but dont realy want to own one.

That was a nice head shot on the rabbit sitting on its haunches! I find that the 55gr round in my 22-250 usually guts the rabbits at 200m … talk about being surgical …

lol. Probably not. I’ve got a 223WSSM (winchester super short magnum) that’s slightly hotter than a 220 swift without the barrel burning tendencies, and I bagged 6 point a touch over 200 yards with a 64g bullet it this year. Did more damage than my 20 gauge. Wouldn’t even bother using it for rabbits. There would be nothing left! Don’t even think the remains would be suitable for the coyotes!
