buddy of mine took one today at 306yards with a .308 wish my camra was here but still waitin on it to be shipped we did the whistle trick also poked his head out and that was it
On this particular video, the camera shook because the sandbag it was resting on was on top of the truck right next to the rifle. So the vibration transferred from the body of the truck to the camera. (If you listen closely, you can hear the metallic vibration) It was unfortunate, but a rare occurence for us. Usually, we are well away from the rifle and its not a problem.
My nephew and I found that if the shooter is directly in front on the camera.. the shockwave was much less. And a trip pod for the camera helps . I have a older Sony TRV740 15x 420xdig . good luck this spring , I saw my 1st chuck the other day Mar.13th
Thanks, yeah sometimes the concussion from the shot moves the camera, sometimes it can’t be helped. I have heard of the those extender things, but I’d rather spend the money on a newer camera… My camera has 25x optical zoom, but this years model of my camera is up to 35x. I might get that one.
good one guys.. I can’t wait for spring myself.I know it hard to tape a shoot. Everyones got to be ready. Have you heard of a 2x lense for the camera .. I hear it makes a difference.. I haven’t tryed one yet.
