I was hunting Rattlesnakes and Jack Rabbits with my Ruger trying to get a rattler and lucky rabbits foot for ultimate ass whipper supreme necklace, I was walking over a hill that had some thick bushes at the bottom when I heard a lot of movement and 3 Coyotes came out right towards me so I opened fire, one went down and the other two split in different directions, Coyotes are legal to take year round with a valid Arizona hunting license, the time from the shot that took choy maloy down to the final shots was under a minute

I felt bad for the coyote here….but its a data point on the .22 for me….when things melt down, I plan on relying on a .22 as ammo is cheap and can be stockpiled into the thousands.

@Tvlunch yeah, I felt sorry for the animal. Jerks who can’t shoot and scare easily make everyone look bad. Next time I’m rooting for the coyote.

I hunt, I’m no PETA freak. But when I see this.. this gives us hunters a bad name. When you see an animal suffering after you shoot it, kill it right away. This guy tells you what happened while this thing is lying there dying. Right when you dropped it you should ran up point blank and put another one into his brain. End it quick and painless not slow look at his head trying to get away… I understand he wasn’t planning on shooting coyotes but still… put it out of its misery,.

ummmm read the discription he was hunting rattlesnakes and rabbits for that a 22 is plenty. besides the coyote did not suffer very long a few shots to head is plenty especially with a banana clip.
February 27th, 2010 at 1:18 pm
yeah a 22 is a little underpowered for coyotes but with a ruger 10-22 and banana clip it wasn’t get away

That must have been pretty scary to get charged by three coyotes. I’m not against hunting at all, but I hate to see a creature in pain. I’m glad you did what you could to end its suffering as quickly as possible.

Nice! Did you eat it?

What a Dipsh** . Why would you use a 22 on coyote’s. Looks like those dogs suffered, Grow-up and try a bigger gun and be a sensible shooter and hunter. Guys like you make real hunters have to explain your stupidity.
February 27th, 2010 at 3:55 pm
thats pathetic why on earth would you use such a small gun
February 27th, 2010 at 4:08 pm
thats why you dont hunt coyote with 22s they suffer
February 27th, 2010 at 4:19 pm
Good to see there is another hunter who beleves in .22s with high capacity mags you know just in case.
February 27th, 2010 at 4:20 pm
@g1sfo even with good a shot a 22 is not the best for coyotes so it dos not surprise me that it took a few shots to the head before dying. besides it didn’t even suffer very long
February 27th, 2010 at 4:22 pm
IT’S A .22! and he probably whipped out the camera as soon as it went down but he finished it off pretty quickly
February 27th, 2010 at 4:45 pm
Horrible shot, took at least 5 rounds to kill. Should find another hobby, good thing they were defenseless.
February 27th, 2010 at 5:43 pm
killem all let god sort them out ,keep on filming , and good hunting
February 27th, 2010 at 5:53 pm
sorry, i know what you’re talkin about nerves. but that wasn’t nerves, it was still alive. at 0:18 the Coyote sees the man approaching and looks right at him. that aint nerve twitches…
February 27th, 2010 at 6:03 pm
nice shot, but still, be a little more humane. just out of respect, kill it right away instead of gaping over him and filming while he is living. film After he’s dead. thx
