In my opinion one of the best and solid rifles you will need for coyote hunting is a .22-.250. It has the knock down power to kill a coyote dead on the spot. It’s a good flat shooting gun and the range makes it an excellent choice to take on a hunt. Some people will say that a rifle of less caliber will do the job. It may do the job, but when I go hunting I like to have a gun that will have a clean kill and not just wound the animal. Also when choosing a coyote hunting rifle make sure the gun shoots good and flat and doesn’t have a big drop so that you can take down coyotes at a fairly long range.
