Coyote hunting – my first video!

Posted on 09 December 2010 by trickac

My 1st try at a coyote hunting video. If you don’t like hunting don’t watch. Sorry hunters, no footage of the kill shot. Believe me this is tough to do, don’t knock it til you try it!

good job hunting just practice that camera work. I’m still trying to get out there and hunt so i cant hate on the video.

  8. LegsintheAir Says:

Thanks! Yeah I don’t pay any attention to these guys that haven’t even tried to shoot a video like this or have any idea how hard it is to do this all yourself. Especially strange that 412speaker would comment negatively given the bore factor in his ‘deer camp’ videos. Nice footage of an already dead deer and a fire burning. Yawn.

i use velcro on my camcorder and gun , use high strenght velcro , it works pretty good, than cam sight it with your scope at full zoom, looking foward to my next shot.

you suck at the camera plus you take way to long to take your shot

Good job! I gave you 5 stars. I have self filmed shooting whitetail and groundhogs. Check mine out. Its not easy! Coyotes would be really hard cause they don’t stay still long. I kept thinking you were going to blow it, but it worked out good.

  16. gpsland Says:

very good, wish i could have got my first on camera. i had it with me but when the yote came, totally forgot about the camera, until after i dropped him.

Good job filming and hunting by yourself. I haven’t had the opportunity to film but I do hunt yotes. Good way to practice your shooting if you can get them to come in.

I am in the province of Manitoba in Canada

  21. muscletowne Says:

What state are you in. I have been researching coyote hunting and have been out 2 x but have yet to call one in. I am in Northern Indiana. Awesome Job.

  22. LegsintheAir Says:

Well there was actually 20 mins of calling that I edited down to 4 mins. As far as fiddling with the camera, try to move only when the coyote is on the move and if you have to move do it slowly. And I was well camo’d sitting backed up to a brush line.

  23. yotester Says:

It suck’s trying to film your own hunt’s, I really suck. I can’t beleive that dog came in with so little calling. If I was to mess around that long with my camera, all I’d do is film them hauling ass. GOOD JOB

  24. CampCook12345 Says:

That is awesome I’vebeen trying to video tape my sets as well but they come in to fast to tape them.

  25. LegsintheAir Says:

It did sound quiet but it was a .22-250. Usually DRT if you place your shot right
