This is the end of the series. The bull ended up at 10 ft before I scared him off. Notice the drool! He was called in using the Little Dog Coyote howler and the Sceery Rabbit Distress imitating a cow call. Enjoy!

gregjoder.wordpress.com … This morning I took video of these coyotes in a meadow near an old ranch. The main character appears to be an older, injured male. Youll see he favors his right front leg. He seems to be very interested in the coyote that he chases around the little hillock. The other two coyotes appear more interested in leaving the area. In the end three of the coyotes leave the protagonist behind, sitting alone on the little hill. I took the video at the side of the road, sitting in my car. You can hear the ranch dog barking in the first few seconds before I added the sounds of coyotes barking and howling. Otherwise it would have been the sound of my car blinker and the ranch dog barking. I found the coyote sounds at www.soundboard.com. Celebrate Biodiversity – Save the coyote!

A brief video clip of the discovery of a canid den on Cape St. George Reserve, Palm Sunday, 2008. The freshly dug den was dug out of the side of a 22 foot sand dune ridge, one of the oldest on the island. After reviewing these images, biologists at the US Fish & Wildlife Service and Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve, have confirmed that it is likely a coyote den. Bad news for some of the endangered species in these barrier islands; the invading coyotes depredate the Loggerhead sea turtle nests for eggs, and potentially threaten the Red Wolf breeding program on nearby St. Vincent National Wildlife Refuge. Once established, coyotes are difficult to trap and remove. True to their reputations, they are very “wiley” escape artists. Let’s hope this mama is caught before she has a litter of pups!
