Bobcat hunting quail in Arizona desert. This bobcat is young and a little nervous. The bobcat is also new at hunting, just learning the patience for a good varmint hunt. Bobcats (lynx) and mountain lion(s) are common here. However, mountain lion sightings are rare. Mountain lions are sighted occasionally in the early morning or at dusk hunting for prey. I was standing less than 5 feet away from one when i was in bisbee, AZ. I was six, that thing could have easily taken me, but i was lucky.
